Chengjun (Raina) Zhang is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Operations and Decision Technologies at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. She is a Research Associate at the Data Science and AI Lab (DSAIL) and is advised by Dr. Sagar Samtani. Her research focuses on developing advanced machine learning and natural language processing approaches cybersecurity applications. Specifically, she explores diachronic embedding techniques, large language models, and self-supervised learning to track temporal shifts large textual corpora. In addition, she is interested in AI security, cybersecurity applications, and trustworthy AI. Prior to her Ph.D., Raina earned her M.S. in Security Informatics from Johns Hopkins University and her B.A. in Computer Science and Data Analytics from Denison University. Raina is passionate about leveraging AI for social good and interdisciplinary research bridging information systems, data science, and cybersecurity.
I am interested in developing large language model (LLM)-based methods for enhancing AI security, trustworthiness, and transparency. My methodological areas of expertise include self-supervised learning, diachronic embedding, and graph neural networks. I am also broadly interested in applications of AI to cybersecurity, computational social science, and responsible AI.
